Tamba Q2/Q3 Investor Update

Hello friends

Let start with the big news.

BIG NEWS: I’ve permanently moved to Toronto! Why? I was at a beach a few month ago. I saw this giant shell just sitting there as the waves caressed it. Naturally, I picked it up and held it to my ear. While most people hear the soothing sound of the ocean, all I heard was the sound of traffic and ambulances. That’s when I knew where my heart truly belonged, and within a week, I was in Toronto. (Victoria will always be my second home).

How is Tamba?

In my last update I mentioned how Tamba was crushing it. Happy to report, we are still crushing it. It’s late Q3 (at least when I wrote this line) and we’ve already 3X’d revenue from last year.

70% of the apps and websites we’ve been building lately are in the AI space, and we've been diving deep into some cutting-edge custom AI products, such as:

• An app that lets you build your AI digital twin

• A data-driven AI chatbot where you and your family can ask questions, and it responds in your voice

• An AI app for those who love using vision boards to manifest their goals

• AI apps in the fashion space

• AI tools in the finance space

From leveraging open-source LLMs, training custom models, building AI-agents, and jerry-rigging a bunch of AI systems together, we’re doing it all!

But it’s not just about building AI—we’re fully embracing it in every corner of our business and development process. We’ve even introduced a Chief AI Officer at Tamba, whose mission is to optimize every aspect of our operations with AI, from biz-ops to software development.

Staff Augmentation:

If you’ve been a long time reader, you know I’m going to talk about the Staff Augmentation arm our business. For new readers: Staff Aug = We “augment” your team with our devs. It's a great solution for clients who don’t want to fuss with recruitment, payroll, hiring overheads etc, and still work with top-tier devs.

We're going strong with building the staff aug business, and you can get in on the action as well. Help us land staff aug contracts and you will be handsomely* rewarded!

Diversifying:

We’ve been building our coffers (I just binged House of Dragon…) and now it’s time to use that money diversify away from tech. One intriguing area we’re exploring is acquiring Rest Homes (a.k.a. Assisted Living Facilities for seniors). It seems to be both AI-proof and recession-proof—two things that keep me up at night.

The numbers I’ve been running seem too good to be true (~30-40% ROI in year one?!). If you know anyone in this space who might be interested in investing, partnering, or offering advice, let’s connect.

Routines:

In my last update, I mentioned how we lost 40% of our traffic overnight due to a Google algorithm update. Truth be told, up until five months ago, I was neglecting Routines and just coasting on Google’s goodwill. That 40% drop was a wake-up call, so we started treating it like a real business. We’ve assembled a small but mighty team, and the results speak for themselves:

Hamza-Hamza’s Social Social at TacoTaco

Over the past few years, I’ve learned that the best way to meet cool people is by going to cool events. And the best way to attend cool events is by hosting them. So, after moving to Toronto, Hamza 1 and 2 threw a Thursday night social at TacoTaco. We invited 50 people, and 60 showed up. It was a smashing success, and we can’t wait to host bigger and better events in the coming months!

Over recent drinks Hamza 2 made the claim that he can take me (Hamza Prime) in a fight. Our next event is now likely going to be a pay-to-watch boxing match, sponsored by Tamba. Winner gets an extra board seat. Stay tuned.

Speaking of board seats, I’ve lately been intrigued by the idea of joining the board of a worthy company. Any leads and insights are welcome!
